At E.R. Services one of our core passions is helping our community. Our owner, Dave Parker, and the E.R. Services staff volunteer in a variety of ways, one of which is through the Charlotte Beds=Dreams Ministry.

Beds=Dreams Ministry

The Beds=Dreams ministry provides beds and bedding to children at schools in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system in North Carolina and the Lancaster County School System in South Carolina who do not have a bed to call their own. Many of these children are homeless or are in transitional housing. Harrison Methodist Church has partnered with Arlington Baptist Church in Mint Hill and St. John UMC in Fort Mill; Dave and the staff volunteer through Arlington Baptist Church in Mint Hill.

On November 10, 2018 and December 1, 2018, the Beds=Dreams Ministry delivered 50+ hand-made beds and bedding to Charlotte area families in need. Check out pictures below!

2017 Beds=Dreams Ministry Pictures

In the Spring of 2017, the Beds=Dreams ministry built 25 beds from scratch for local families in need. The staff at E.R. Services was happy to pitch in. Building a bed frame and providing a good mattress, box spring and bedding is a rewarding process from start to finish. Crafting bed frames by hand allows our volunteers to give in a more tangible and rewarding way, since we are able to pour our love and heart into every piece of wood. As a group of people who care deeply about the less fortunate, the E.R. Services team derived great joy from making and delivering these much-needed beds. It is our hope that these beds help kids sleep well so they can perform well in school and socially. It is a blessing to give back!
