Room in the Inn

At E.R. Services one of our core passions is helping our community. Our owner, Dave Parker, and the E.R. Services staff volunteer in a variety of ways.

This past winter, the staff of E.R. Services joined Dave in service at Room in the Inn. Click here to read the piece in The Charlotte Observer detailing how Dave and the staff grilled up wings, made up beds, set tables, and met the needs of those less fortunate.

Charlotte Room in the InnSince 1996, the Urban Ministry Center has partnered with colleges and congregations of many faiths to open their facilities to provide shelter and food for homeless people during the winter months, December 1 – March 31. Each site offers a warm, safe place to sleep, serves three meals (dinner, breakfast and bag lunch) and then returns guests the following morning to uptown Charlotte. The program offers a unique way for people of faith to become directly involved with individuals who are homeless. The basic goal is to keep homeless people from freezing on cold winter nights. A greater goal is to provide a more personal relationship to homeless people, at least for a night, and to foster a deeper understanding of the depth and complexity of the issue.

Charlotte Room in the Inn — A Way to Give Back

E.R. Services is more than a Charlotte plumbing company. It's a group of people dedicated to making a difference in the community. Parker strives to make the work environment one of integrity and unity, encouraging his technicians and office staff to live lives of gratitude as they take care of each other and the people of the Charlotte community.

We hope you'll get to know us and even join in with us as we strive to make a difference here in Charlotte.
