In fall of 2018, WCNC NBC Charlotte took action to help equip teachers across the Carolinas with the supplies they need to educate our children through the Taking Care of Teachers initiative. NBC Charlotte believes teachers should not have to spend their own hard earned money purchasing school supplies for their classrooms.
Through the partnership of WCNC NBC Charlotte, E.R. Services, Wal-Mart and our caring community, Charlotte citizens made a difference in our public schools and help our teachers!

The WCNC NBC Charlotte team hosted a school supply drive at Wal-Mart Pineville/Mathews location, and E.R. Services helped deliver school supplies to teachers at Pinewood Elementary and Harding High School. Watch the happy surprised faces of teachers finding out their school was chosen to receive these much-needed supplies!
